The Tradetron MCP is the connector that turns ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok or Claude into a working quant desk on your account. This page is the power-user map: every tool, grouped by job, with worked examples of what really comes back — and an exact account of what the debug logs can and cannot show. New here? Start with the friendlier TT Assistant page.
Grounded answers about the platform, no account needed — plans, brokers, instruments, market hours.
Describe it; the MCP resolves keywords, validates the spec, and creates a real template in your account.
Where power users live: diagnostics that fuse engine and broker logs, surgical edits, portfolio-level review.
You never call these by name — you just ask, and the assistant picks the right ones. The names are here so you know exactly what’s under the hood.
Pulls a worked pattern, resolves every keyword, emits the exact template, creates it in your account with a link to open in the builder. Large multi-set books handled too.
Every spec validated against the locked schema before saving — wrong types, unknown keywords, silently-dropped legs caught locally. Custom Python is security-checked.
Run a backtest from the chat and get the full FastBT report link back — SPX, SPY, QQQ, NDX and XSP options on minute data. Sweep parameters, poll long runs, check backtestability up front.
Fetch, edit scalar fields, replace whole sets, or apply a surgical patch to one leg or condition. Structural edits are round-trip-verified — silent drops fail loud. Export to an importable file.
Deploy any strategy in Tradetron’s Live Offline mode: it runs on live market prices and records every signal, but places no order. Going live stays with you. Ownership-checked, so it only ever touches your own account.
One question fuses the deployment record, engine notification log and broker log into a diagnosis that names the layer at fault. Drill into either log, or the run counters, when you need to.
P&L for one strategy — win-days, payoff ratio, max drawdown — or the whole book ranked winner-to-loser. Formatted reports and exports. Descriptive reads, never buy/sell advice.
Authoritative, deterministic lookups — not training-data guesses. Broker support, symbol tradability by exchange, step-by-step broker setup, and your watchlists resolved, read and modified.
Grounded, cited answers to any Tradetron question; market open/close for any date; your profile, plan and marketplace subscriptions. When the bot can’t help, it opens a real support conversation and relays the thread — with your say-so.
Screen a rule for edge for free, read where an instrument stands on the standard technicals, scan for instruments reading a given way, and chart the ATM straddle live or across sessions. A rule that survives becomes a validated draft strategy.
Build a webhook-driven strategy for a basket of symbols, edit the basket in place, or link the API webhook token to one of your own templates, so TradingView, Chartink or your own code can send the signals.
For TT Uni teachers: plan a course in the course format, create the draft, add chapters, lessons, videos, cohorts and live sessions, then send it for review. Nothing publishes without the review team.
Live tools that are not in a group above yet. Details are in the full list below.

Deletestt_ask_ttAsk TT — answer any question about Tradetron from the indexed knowledge base (FAQ, help docs, blog, forum). Cites sources.
Read-onlytt_backtest_comparePut two or three finished backtests side by side. FREE — reads runs already paid for, runs no engine, charges nothing.
Read-onlytt_backtest_ideaThe backtest playground: "what would have happened if I bought X whenever Y, and sold it Z later?" — on daily candles; US stocks and ETFs are not covered yet. Use THIS instead of the tt_validate_markdown -> tt_create_strategy -> tt_backtest_strategy ladder for any single-stock, daily, long-only…

Deletestt_backtest_sweepSweep ONE strategy parameter across a grid on Tradetron's own backtest fleet — a run per value — and return a LIVE report link. Use to answer "which entry time / strike offset / SL is best?" without hand-editing and re-submitting N backtests.
Deletestt_backtest_tradesWhat a finished backtest actually TRADED — its fills, summarised over the whole run and returned one readable page at a time.
Read-onlytt_backtest_workbenchOPEN A STRATEGY FOR BACKTEST WORK. Start here, not with a submit.
Read-onlytt_blog_read_postRead one PUBLISHED Tradetron blog post in full, as markdown (with its title, author, dates and canonical URL). `slug` from tt_blog_search or the post URL. Cite the URL when you quote it; blog content is education, not investment advice. No sign-in needed.

Read-onlyNot in ChatGPT apptt_broker_integration_guideDeterministic, KB-grounded step-by-step for connecting a broker / webhook / data feed to Tradetron (TradingView/Chartink/API/virtual server). Serves stable steps from the curated KB feed instead of RAG; NEVER invents broker-specific steps.

Changes your accounttt_create_strategy_chunkedChunked create_strategy for strategies larger than a single tool-call argument can carry.

Read-onlytt_reply_to_agentRelay a user's follow-up message to the live Crisp agent.
Deletestt_report_templateRun a ready-made report over the user's own trading data and render it in the chat. Four templates, each answering a question that tt_portfolio_report (a ranked snapshot) and tt_strategy_performance (one strategy) do not:

Read-onlytt_update_signal_bridgeAdd or remove symbols (stocks, futures, crypto, option rules) in an existing Signal Bridge, and optionally rename it. The template is edited IN PLACE: the template id and the linked API token stay the same, so the user's existing client and signal links keep working.

Three real flows — build, debug, review. The sentence you type, the tools the assistant reaches for, and the shape of the response. Values are illustrative of the format.
{ "ok": true, "data": { "id": 9987412, "name": "SPX 0DTE Iron Condor", "edit_url": "https://tradetron.us/strategies/9987412/edit", "dry_run_verified": true, "validation": { "warnings": [] } } }
You get a clickable edit_url — the strategy is already in your account, ready to review in the Advanced Strategy Builder. Nothing was saved until it validated clean.
DIAGNOSIS · SID 30288650 · "SPX 0DTE Iron Condor" status Error-Execution mode live window last 24h ENGINE LOG (what the strategy decided) 09:45:01 Entry condition met — Time ≥ 09:45 ET 09:45:02 Placing SELL · SPX 5900 P · SPX 6000 C · BUY wings 09:45:04 ✕ order rejected at broker BROKER LOG (what the broker actually did) 09:45:04 Alpaca · order status REJECTED 09:45:04 "insufficient options buying power" ANALYSIS Not a strategy-logic fault. Your entry fired correctly; the broker blocked the order — not enough buying power. FIX Add funds or reduce contracts, then re-enter. Logic is sound.
Before it reads a single line, the MCP verifies the SID is yours — ownership-checked and fail-closed. The card names which layer broke, so you don’t spend an hour editing a strategy that was never the problem.
DEPLOYED · 6 strategies ● Active SPX 0DTE Iron Condor live ● Active QQQ Covered Calls live ● Active SPY Put Credit Spread live ⏸ Paused Reversal Scalper offline ✕ Error-Exec Momentum Futures live ○ Exited Expiry Day Butterfly live NEXT Just say "why is Momentum Futures in error?" — the engine + broker logs get pulled and the fault named (that's Flow 02, in the same chat).
One question surfaces every deployment and its state — Active, Paused, Blocked, Error-Execution, Exited — with live vs Live Offline mode. Name any strategy and the assistant drills in: diagnose it, read its performance, or manage the deployment.
The debug tools are the most misunderstood part of the connector, so let’s be exact about where the data comes from and where its edges are.
Why: those numbers are evaluated live — every tick, in memory — purely to decide whether a condition is met. The log records the decision, not the arithmetic behind it, so there’s no stored per-candle value to fetch after the fact. Capturing the operand values behind each decision is on the roadmap.
Step-by-step setup for each AI app — with plan requirements — lives on the TT Assistant page ↗. Every tool needs the OAuth sign-in first, read-only ones included; it is what lets the AI save strategies and read your logs, deployments and P&L.
Save this once and stop re-typing the same guardrails. It tells any AI — Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini — how to work on your Tradetron strategies: ask before building, look up every keyword, validate and read back what was stored, and never touch a deployed template without telling you what that means. Drawn from real measured behaviour of the tools on this page.

Build, backtest, run Live Offline, debug and review — all from one conversation, in the AI you already use.
Note. The Tradetron MCP creates and edits strategy templates, runs backtests, manages Live Offline deployments, and reads diagnostics on your own account; it does not provide investment advice or place live trades. Performance and portfolio figures are descriptive summaries of your own historical results, are not indicative of future results, and are not a recommendation to buy, sell, hold, or fund any strategy. Example values shown are illustrative of the response format only. Tool set and data coverage expand over time and may change. Trading in securities and derivatives carries a substantial risk of loss.
