FastBT: Backtest US Options Strategies on Minute Data | Tradetron
Tradetron · FastBT backtest engine

Backtest US options strategies on minute data.

FastBT runs every backtest on Tradetron, on the web and in AI chat. For the US it covers SPX, SPY, QQQ, NDX and XSP options, 0DTE and weeklies, plus US index spots, and it scores its fills against real fills from live US deployments.

01 · Coverage

What you can test in the US.

Index options

SPX, NDX and XSP chains, 0DTE and weekly expiries. Strikes by ATM offset, premium or delta, the same way the live strategy picks them.

ETF options

SPY and QQQ options, 0DTE and weeklies: strangles, iron condors, spreads and ladders.

Index spots

US index levels on minute data, for conditions that watch the index and trade the options.

The same strategy, live or tested

If the Strategy Builder can express it, FastBT tests it: the same conditions, keywords, legs and exits your live deployment runs.
02 · Honest by design

Built to stop you fooling yourself.

Scored against real fills

Simulated fills are compared with what live US deployments actually got, so the gap between a backtest and a live run is measured, not guessed.

Fail-closed

Every run either delivers a full report or tells you it could not, and why. No silent empty reports.

Costs in the report

Set the brokerage you pay before you run, and the report charges it on every trade, losing trades included.

Walk-forward and Monte Carlo

60+ metrics per report, with walk-forward and Monte Carlo views to see how fragile a result is before you trust it.

Hypothetical results have inherent limitations. A backtest is a simulation run with hindsight on past data; it does not account for every market condition, and past performance does not guarantee future results.

03 · Then run it

From backtest to your own broker.

Run the strategy in Live Offline to watch its signals on live prices without placing an order, then deploy it to your own account at one of nine US brokers. Tradetron never holds your money.
